Twitch Sings (2019)
Twitch Sings (2019)
A spiritual successor to Harmonix's classic Karaoke Revolution, Twitch Sings managed to feel both nostalgic and new. It was also my first project working in Unity 5 — a fun learning curve to dive into.
My main focus was character rigging for the avatar system, with additional work on crowd/character shaders and UI animations.
The avatar system relied on mesh swapping — bigger outfit pieces would hide the smaller meshes underneath, which meant every character mesh and outfit needed to be split up by body part. To save myself a ton of manual work, I wrote a script that handled the splitting automatically based on material assignment.
I also got the opportunity to model a Horse Head Mask for this game!
Truly an honor.
